Once the view of Mt. Horeb
had been chosen. A series of photos were taken. These
were scanned into the computer and fit together to create
a panoramic scene. A full size computer generated image
on a vinyl laminated surface was made. The artists use
this as a template for their final image.
The Millennium Murals artists transformed
the barren February landscape into a lush spring scene.
This was accomplished in less than two weeks.
The client wanted the scene converted
so that the house on the property would be a typical
Wisconsin farm house.
Sketches were done and the house was
transformed, color changed, and porches added.
The charming house is complete with
a cat in the upper window.
Tamlyn researchs foliage on trees
to give authenticity to the mural.
Doug and Tamlyn work side by side
for an effecient team effort.
The wall at the bank is finished
and the mural is prepared for mounting.
Owners of the farm depicted in the mural
tell the artists what kinds of trees and shrubs would be
showing in the spring.
The mural is mounted
on the wall using a strippable vinyl adhesive. It is also
stapled at the edges to give it extra strength. A moulding
is built around it to give it a semi-permanent home.
The beautiful
mural was installed and ready for the State Bank of Cross
Plains reception, exactly two weeks after the contract was
signed by the bank officers.
